Chris Flisher has been a student of astrology ever since he had his first chart done at age 20. At the time, a perfect stranger asked him his astrology coordinates (birthdate /place /time) and within a few days he had the most amazingly accurate account of himself that he had ever read; delivered by a person who had no previous knowledge of him.Chris has spent the rest of his time researching, understanding, and practicing astrology. Much like medicine, astrology is a practice and a deep complex science/art requiring years of experience and research. Astrologers must work with both scientific data and intuition. Chris was recently awarded a "Top Ten Astrologers" award and is celebrating his fourth continuous year of broadcasting as the host of the weekly radio show, "Turning Of The Wheel" on Contact Talk Radio.

"The Solar Return ~ An Aries Tale"
|
I was about 20 years old when I had my first serious encounter with astrology. I was working in Boston and I met an older woman who has just started a few days earlier. We started talking and she asked me if I knew my birth information. I had a copy of my birth certificate at home and I knew my birth time to be 4:31 PM. She took note of the information. I was curious. Within a few days she returned with a long hand-written report about me and my potential. To this day, I can still remember the impact of that information with such clarity as if it happened yesterday.
Here, before me, on a few sheets of paper, was a profile unlike anything I had ever seen before. The details, the descriptions, the assets, the liabilities, the treasures and the instructions for my life were clearly before me in such accurate detail that I was completely floored. How could an absolute stranger know so much about me after such a brief encounter? How did this person know about my likes, dislikes, my secret hidden potential and the choices that were before me? How could she truly "know" me?
I have to say at first I was taken aback, wondering if she called up my inner spirit and had a heart-to-heart talk with my conscience. So accurate and detailed was this information that I still use it as a benchmark for my pathway. Yet, I remained the skeptic. Impossible. Just lucky, I surmised. To my logical mind it seemed too unlikely a chance that she could know so much about me from such a short encounter. Yet she did. And it was accurate beyond belief and incredibly precise. I can remember that moment because it totally changed my life from that moment forward. Never again would I discount what astrology could provide. It has been my guide and allowed me to make important decisions that have ultimately served me to my greater good. This is a valuable unalterable truth.
As I stand at my solar return, I am as fully invested in astrology as ever. The Solar Return is when the Sun returns to same exact spot on the chart as it was when you were born. In my case that is 12 degrees Aries. When we look at the Solar Return we get a snapshot of what the coming year holds. The true "new year" for any person is the Solar Return and not New Year's day as we all think. Your new year starts when the Sun returns to the birth position. As such, this period always provides a glimpse of potential for the coming year. Even though the Sun is back where it was at your birth, the remainder of the planets are never in the same position. Therefore, they offer a new set of possibilities for the year to come. A whole new array of possibilities lies before you. A Solar Return offers insights that are captured by this moment in time. What will unfold in the year to come?
This year is incredibly powerful for anyone who is an Aries (or any Cardinal sign for that matter - Aries, Cancer, Libra, Capricorn). Other fire signs (Leo and Sagittarius) can also benefit from this alignment. As the saying goes, timing truly is everything. The reason people are successful or face challenges at specific moments is directly connected to the position of the planets in their charts at the time of the event. Knowing that potential exists for events can be incredibly empowering information if you are open to take the advice. The Solar Return is a valuable data point for anyone having their birthday. It is truly your new year. What potential does it hold? Where should you put your energy? Curious? Contact me at chris@chrisflisher.com

Monthly Astrology Forecast ~ April 2013
| |
Week of April 1st
The Sun, Venus and Mars form a might trio of positive energy as they drift through the center of Aries. Of course we know Aries to be the trailblazer of the zodiac so just about anything can happen. With Uranus not too far away we can expect to see all sorts of innovative types of events. When we look back at history we can see parallels to great events that shift the course of human evolution. That is not an overstatement, but rather a by-product of such energy. The sparks are truly flying as invention pays homage to its mother; necessity. To be able to witness these cosmic interchanges can be incredibly validating especially as we see them unfold on the world stage. Treaties, breakthroughs, and all sorts of unusual conversations are likely. Saturn, in retrograde until July, may force us to look inward in an effort to do the right thing. As always, Saturn continues to be our friend, despite the bad rap that he gets. If there is one planet you need to trust and follow it is Saturn. Let Saturn be your guide. Where is Saturn in your chart? This is where you will find your greatest truth.
Week of April 8th
The bold new Moon in Aries joins Mars and Venus and sets the stage for excitement and new beginnings. All new Moons bring with them an air or impending possibility as we learn to set our intentions on building new habits and connections. Nowhere is this more apparent than with Aries, the sign of the bold trail-blazer. With Mars at the helm you can be certain the ride will be thrilling and unlike anything we have seen before. The Uranus connection cannot be overstated since it brings with it the essence of innovation and intrigue. As we seen mighty organizational structures being rebuilt in the wake of political posturing, we learn that we DO have power and perhaps it is time to take the reins of our elected officials and make them walk the same walk as we do. Let them endure what the rest of endure. Policies would change must faster and for the better if they sang the same song as we.
Week of April 15th
The third week of April brings an enormous, almost unbelievable, contribution to history. The number of significant, impactful events that have occurred at this time of year is startling. The Lincoln Assassination (4/14/1865), the sinking of the Titanic (4/14/1912), the Oklahoma bombing (4/20/1995), Waco, Texas (4/20/1993), the birthday of Adolf Hitler (4/20/1889) all occurred in and around the third week of April. Simply incredible. This year brings a certain drama with it as well. A Full Moon Lunar eclipse will occur next week on the 25th, but we could be feeling the impact as soon as this week. We will witness the Sun and Mars entering Taurus on Saturday as Mercury and Uranus align while squaring Pluto at the same time. The conjoining of Mercury and Uranus brings an electrical potential of the highest order. Since Uranus typically vibrates at a higher octave of Mercury, that same sort of sparky, communicative, impulsivity exists. All of this activity sets the stage for a full Moon lunar eclipse next week at 6 degrees Scorpio.
Week of April 22nd
The week begins with Earth Day and there is no better time than now to recognize that our planet is changing. We must do all we can to right the wrongs, lest we pay the price. With the Sun fully on in Taurus, the new burst of spring air may allow us to engage and open ourselves to others in ways we haven't in the past. The applying pressure of reorganization and reconstruction are in full mode as Uranus and Pluto form a tight square that is weeks away from being exact. It is during the applying period (the leading up to, period) that we feel the greatest impact. If that wasn't enough, we have a Full Moon Lunar eclipse happening this week on the 25th at 6 degrees Scorpio. This eclipse falls near Saturn currently in retrograde so we may be facing a responsibility that has gone overlooked perhaps.
