House Leadership recently provided members with a survey asking for a priority list of items that remain unfunded.
While we don't have a budget, many items are receiving funds through continuing appropriations or court orders- these include many human services, employee salaries and state pension system payments.
Unfortunately, dozens of items remain completely unfunded. As you can see from the list, critically important programs remain suspended until a budget agreement is reached.
When asked to identify my priorities, I immediately decided to turn to my constituents, many of whom have been personally affected by loss of services.
This request is urgent, and I need to identify the funding priorities of our district as soon as possible. In order to do so, I will be turning in the aggregate numbers of this survey on Friday, September 4th at 1pm. Responses received after will still be reviewed and taken into consideration.
