Pack the Gym

Please join us tomorrow, February 17, 2016 at Pack the Gym Night to celebrate the Girls' Basketball Season! Bring in a canned good for House of Hope and earn a Cardinal Pride Out of Uniform Pass. Try your skill at the 3-point shooting contest. 50/50 raffle and much more!!!

Games are at 5:00 for 5th, 6:00 for 6th and 7:00 for 8th.
The Cheerleaders will be performing their final routine of the season.

In support of Pack the Gym night, students may wear spirit wear or a red top with the uniform bottom tomorrow.  Those on the girls basketball teams and the cheerleaders may wear their sport uniform.

Aspire Testing
Please note that the middle school students will be participating in Aspire testing from April 11-15.  School administration asks that you refrain from taking a vacation away from school during this week.  Thank you for your understanding.

2016/2017 Home &School Board
We are looking for three volunteers for the 2016/2017 school year to fulfill roles on the Executive Board.  Positions available are President Elect, Secretary and Treasurer.  Please contact Gina Koertner at [email protected] for clarification on responsibilities and time commitment.  Please complete the application form.

2016 Magazine Drive 
The magazine drive will run from March 7th to March 18th.
The order packages will be distributed one per family on March 4th. Start reaching out to family & friends to order new subscriptions or get renewals. Digital subscriptions are also available. A portion of your purchase or renewals will benefit St. Anne School.

Pack The Gym
Please pack the gym on Wednesday, February 17th.  Children can wear spirit wear with uniform bottoms to school or girls basketball and cheerleaders may wear their sport's uniform.

Save The Date: Dining Out Event
Mark April 5th on your calendar for a dining out event at Culvers in Lake Zurich!

World's Finest
Home and School is still selling world's finest candy bars.
We need your help!! We have around 1800 bars left and we need to sell them!!  
They are $1.00 a bar and we need every family to sell 30 bars. (Half a case.)  
They will be for sale by order form or Carrie can meet you at any drop off or pick up. We will keep selling them until they're gone.

You can also donate your bars, we are collecting for several organizations.

Father Daughter Dance  - February 26th
Save the date for the Father/Daughter dance on February 26!  The theme is Paris Nights.  RSVP forms are in the front office or here.  Please contact Hayde Federighi at [email protected] to help plan!
 
Mother Son Event - February 27th
Please join us on Saturday Feb 27th for the St. Anne Mother / Son Event. This year's event will be held at Pinstripes in South Barrington. The night will include bowling & dinner (4-8pm).  Registration forms are attached and available via School Rush. Conversation Circle: 8th Grade Transition to High School

Join parents for a casual, informal conversation with current high school parents about the realities of transitioning from middle school to high school.  Your questions drive the discussion - anything from practical questions about athletic signups to concerns about academic workloads.  RSVP requested.  

Barrington Speaker Series - Author Jessica Lahey

Jessica Lahey is an educator, parent and regular contributor to The New York Times, The Atlantic and Vermont Public Radio. During her presentation at Barrington High School she will discuss her new book The Gift of Failure: How the Best Parents Learn to Let Go So Their Children Can Succeed, and explain why parents need to step back to allow children to take on challenges in order for them to thrive in school and in life.

Chasewood Robotics Academy

Time and Location St. Anne Mar 7 - Apr 25 No Class: 3/21, 3/28 Wednesday 3:20 - 4:20 pm (6 weeks) Grades: K-8
Cost: $80 per student
The Chasewood Robotics Academy is a comprehensive after school program where children are learning to design, build, and program robots. Using a creative educational approach that supports Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), this class is led by Chasewood Learning's teacher-led instruction followed by fun, engaging and dynamic activities.
Registration-Register online at www.ChasewoodLearning.com. Registration opens Feb 17 at 9:00 am. Class size limits may be enforced depending on number of signups, and students will be enrolled on a first come first serve basis. Payment is due at time of registration.
