Greetings!
We all like to look good. We like the idea of being attractive and warmly inviting in our friendships, workplace/social relations and with special others. Nothing communicates that more than inner radiance meeting up with shiny exterior features. We feel good with luxurious skin, bright teeth, shiny hair, and strong nails that radiate from the workings of a healthy interior. Ayurveda diet and lifestyle strategies work from within to promote strong digestion, nourished tissues, and effective elimination. As the saying goes in Ayurveda, "We are what we eat as well as what we do not eliminate". When our elimination systems are not functioning well and we do not have regular, healthy bowel movements or we have sluggish lymph drainage, our exterior features really show the affect.

Ayurveda also has time-tested practices to shine up these outside features by directly nourishing the skin, nails, teeth, and hair, rather than covering over listless hair with shiny goo for example. Many so-called "beauty products" on the market today actually chemically disrupt our health and true beauty and catch up with us over time. Spring is a good time to get our exterior features in a better natural state of health before the long, sunny days appear (well we can hope). I a m offering Radiant Skin and Natural Dental Care as a 2 session class April 30th and May 7th. We will make various formulas for using on your skin, hair, teeth, and nails to promote radiance and health. These are formulas that you can make at home on your own for a fraction of the cost of over-the-counter products. If this speaks to you, please join in. As with all of Ayurveda, there is much you can do, but I always encourage folks to just keep leaning into it. Do more this year than last and just keep bending the arc toward greater health and well-being.
Live with radiant intention and be well. Rhonda

Ayurveda Cleanser-Toner- Exfoliator
I love this simple and effective formula. Fat-soluble toxins such as chemical residues, pesticides, and environmental pollutants settle in the fatty subcutaneous layer of the skin as toxins, known in Ayurveda as "ama"..
Ama congests the lymphatic drainage system and inhibits the surfacing of new skin cells. As we live longer, the process can become less vitalized, but we can help. This formula sloughs off the dry, dead skin to reveal healthy living skin, but don't overdo. Some use it daily, but start slowly to determine what is best for you skin.

Chickpea (garbonza) bean flour exfoliates and moisturizes naturally and the triphala nourishes the skin by providing vitamin C to support collagen and elasticity of the skin while pulling toxins from deep tissue layers to increase micro-circulation and repair damaged skin.
Recipe from Lifespa.com
- 1 Tablespoon chickpea flour
- 1/4 teaspoon Triphala powder
- Mix into a paste with rose water.
Rub all over your face and neck. You can leave it on for a few minutes for a more cleansing effect. Wash off with a damp/wet wash cloth. Be careful around the eyes. You do not need to dry your face. While still moist, apply a daily moisturizing oil like sesame or coconut oil.

Lyrics Excerpt
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like a room without a roof
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like happiness is the truth
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you know what happiness is to you
Because I'm happy
Clap along if you feel like that's what you wanna do

Natural Teeth Whitening with Turmeric....yes...really! The teeth whitening industry has stated that using carbomide and hydrogen peroxides to whiten teeth is perfectly safe. The American Dental Association does however, express some cautions. I have to admit, I am suspicious. I was happy to learn that turmeric---that yellow spice that stains everything it touches--actually whitens your teeth.
Go here to find three ways to use turmeric to whiten your teeth naturally. As a bonus, turmeric is good for your gum health. I have tried brushing with organic turmeric . Sometimes I follow the turmeric by brushing with a little baking soda, salt, and organic neem powder and remarkably, the combination works very well! I wish I had taken a before and after pic like the chap above -- you may want to try that to compare.
