SUMMER TRAVEL TIPS:

Get your TSA Pre-Check Known ID Number and skip the long security lines, keep your laptop in your carry-on, and best of all, keep your shoes on! Fill out the preliminary application online at: https://www.tsa.gov/tsa-precheck, and set up an appointment to visit PBIA for finger printing and finalization. It takes about 10 minutes, costs $85, and is good for 5 years!

Nothing ruins a vacation faster than arriving at your destination without your luggage. Your bags may be delayed by the airline or, worse, claimed by another passenger. Don't tote your bags to and from the airport. Luggage Forward will ship them to your resort or cruise port.

What should you do if you miss a flight? Travel experts say you should get to the airport as quickly as possible. Some airlines have a policy they don't publicize called the "Flat Tire Rule" in which they'll let you fly standby on the next flight for no fee if you show up within two hours of your scheduled departure. Be polite - it's often at the discretion of the gate agent. If that doesn't work, you'll probably end up paying the dreaded $200 change fee, but it never hurts to ask!

Save offline maps! Google Maps app for Apple and Android is one of the most valuable tools for travelers. Before your next trip, search for your hotel and other places you expect to visit. Swipe the name at the bottom of the screen, then click the menu at top right. Select "Save offline map" so you can see the map even if you're not connected.

CREW Past President and current Communication Chair, JUDITH SCHUMACHER, Owner/Partner, Schumacher Companies, was featured in the Palm Beach Post Business Section; the article touted her years in the typically male dominated business of commercial construction.

CREW Member and Owner of Rebel Cook Real Estate and President of Economic Forum,REBEL COOK, was also featured in the Palm Beach Post regarding a possible real estate transaction on Clematis Street.

CREW PB/CT Membership Chair, Laura King, Vice President, Commercial Banking announced her recent promotion to the position of Commercial Banking. This promotion gives Laura the ability to work on larger size loan requests.

CREW PB/TC Board Member, Beth White RPA, LCAM, Director of Operations announced the start of her own property management business, Realtime Property Management of South Florida LLC. Beth's decision has been a bright spot in the CREW PB/TC chapter, giving way to an entrepreneurial spirit for all women in business. She specializes in Real Estate Property Management. Her commitment to customer service and leadership in her community has Beth busy with client expansion and community involvement. She is Chairperson on a committee, Jupiter Walk and Bike, a Town of Jupiter initiative for citizen involvement for pedestrian and cyclist safety. She also works on the team for Healthier Jupiter, a new program launching through the Palm Healthcare Foundation, bringing awareness to Jupiter and surrounding areas for Type 2 Diabetes. She recently withdrew her name for next year's CREW Chapter President position, to concentrate on building her business. She will continue to be an active CREW Board Member for the coming year ahead.

CREW PC/TC Sponsorship Chair, Rachael Rossmeissl-Stone, Environmental Department Manager, WPB Office, ECS Florida, LLC, announced her recent promotion to the position of Environment Department Manager, in the West Palm Beach office of ECS Florida. Rachael now manages the environmental staff, focuses on bringing in new work, expanding service lines, as well as continuing to perform field work.
