New statewide death registration system

In the summer of 2015, Colorado will launch the first Electronic Death Registration System (EDRS) in our state. Many of the facilities you work with have received multiple notifications of this through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, Vital Records Division.

Information regarding training, access to the system itself, and quick tips for your office are attached to this email. Please take advantage of the June training sessions to learn more about this system.

Although there is not a deadline for physicians to begin working within the ERDS system, your participation is strongly encouraged, at a point in time that is best for your practice and staff.
