The annual Top Docs survey is a chance to hear from you, the physician, who you rank as the quality providers in our community as an alternative to the patient and payer provided rankings that abound.

EPCMS works with Colorado Springs Style magazine to produce the Top Docs survey so that EPCMS member physicians can publicly proclaim the colleagues you consider the best at what they do.

There is no single definition of quality care, quality medicine, or what makes a quality physician. This survey is your opportunity to vote your conscience on what a quality physician is in our community, taking into account professionalism, patient outcomes, knowledge, training, experience, and je ne sais quoi.

54 categories are in this year's survey, based upon specialties recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties and the American Osteopathic Association. Physicians may be listed in more than one category. Determinations are made by El Paso County Medical Society in accordance with their policies and the stated area of practice of the physician.

Invitations to vote will be sent to EPCMS members via email on June 1st.  Who will you vote a Top Doc?

What's News

A recently conducted focus group of physicians explored needs related to the implications and consequences of legal marijuana.

The group determined that there is a lack of validated data or research on marijuana use and effects; there is a lack and need for educational materials for practice staff and patients; there is a need for a public health campaign to challenge the perception that marijuana is not a problem; and there is a widespread challenge facing providers regarding the lack of integration of the mental health and substance use systems.
