The play is beginning to come together nicely. The actors are starting to feel their parts and also feel more comfortable on the stage.
This week we have an early rehearsal for the Tuesday cast ONLY. This rehearsal will run from 2:50 to 4:00.
Wednesday's cast will run a normal rehearsal schedule. (3:15-4:30).
I am asking the cast members to forgo their scripts this week while on stage. Please work with them on their assigned parts.
Also we will be reviewing costumes.
The basic costume for most cast members is a long sleeve black shirt and long black pants/leggings with dark shoes. The tellers and I Don't Know, Decipher, and Navigators may where white shirts to be a little different. The costumes for this show help to merely outline the character for the audience. The actor becomes the character as they tell the story. The accessories for the black on black, such as capes, hats, wings, feathers, scarves, etc., merely help to define the character a little. They are put on as the character's part comes on stage. The transformation is done in front of the curtain. Creativity is the key.
We are also looking for some props for the production such as some vine like roping, lanterns, some large fake rocks/ boulders, capes, crowns.

learn, and build on a completely blank canvas, which allows the students to go over and beyond the normal thinking in the classroom, using Engineering and problem solving strategies. For more information, please contact Trevor Viviani at vivianit@tesd.net. VFMS PTO is seeking ways to support this activity.
