Drama Program-Calling All 5th and 6th Graders!
This is VFMS's year to produce the 5/6 drama. For those of you new to our school, we alternate a drama for our fifth and sixth graders with a musical for our seventh and eighth graders each year. Our 5/6 drama for this year will be Folk Tales for Fun. It is a collection of six folktales. We can expand the cast to offer a multitude of parts for all our talented students. We will be holding auditions on December 19 and 22 in the auditorium during school hours. Rehearsals will be held after school from 3:15 to 4:30 starting in January. Students will need transportation home. The performances will be scheduled for the week of March 9 - 13. Contact person is: Celeste D. News From the Nurse
REMINDER-6th Grade parents Many students still have not turned in a 6th grade physical exam report. Pennsylvania law requires that all students in sixth grade receive a physical examination. If you have not already done so, please have your child's doctor complete a physical exam report and return it to the nurse as soon as possible. If your child's doctor does not have their own form, blank TESD physical exam forms can be printed from the Student Health Services web page. It can be reached from the T/E district (Departments) or VFMS ho me page (for Parents). Reminder-7th grade parents Grade 7 students are required to have updated immunizations, Tdap and MCV. If you received an email from the nurse's office that your child was missing these immunizations and have not responded, please send a copy of these immunizations as soon as possible. Any 7th grade student who does not have these immunizations on file is considered to be attending school on a provisional basis. Any questions, contact the nurse's office at 610.240.1305.

Shop Amazon & Benefit VFMS! You Shop. Amazon Gives!
The VFMS PTO has switched from the Amazon Associates program to the Amazon Smiles program which will allow more purchases to qualify towards our fundraising efforts. Many of you are already shopping on Amazon.com. You can support the VFMS PTO every time you shop, at no cost to you - when you shop Amazon through AmazonSmiles. Choose us as your charity, and Amazon will donate 0.5% of your eligible purchases to the VFMS PTO.Participating is Easy! To begin shopping for the VFMS PTO, you only need to select us as your charity one time through the link at the top of the PTO website. That's it!
Choose "Valley Forge Middle School Parent Teacher Organization" as your charity.
Once we have become your designated charity, you may continue to use the link on our website to access amazon smiles or go to www.smile.amazon.com. You will know you are linked to our school when it says "Supporting: Valley Forge Middle School Parent Teacher Organization in the top, left corner. Amazon Prime members will still receive their Prime benefits!
AmazonSmile is an excellent way for VFMS PTO families to contribute to our school and our students without having to give up any extra time or money. If all of our parents who use Amazon would remember to shop through AmazonSmile, we could significantly increase our annual fundraising without having to ask our families to do any more than they already do to support us!
