2014 Yearbooks Go On Sale

COMING SOON!!

 

DUE to the snow days the yearbook collection days have changed!  Attention all VFMS students and families!  This year's edition of the VFMS Yearbook will go on sale for 4 days during the month of January!!  Orders will be taken in the main lobby from 7:30 - 7:45 a.m. on the following days ONLY:

 

Tuesday, January 28th

Wednesday, January 29th

Thursday, January 30th

Friday, January 31th

 

Each yearbook ordered in January will cost $44.00.  Orders taken AFTER January 31 will cost $50.00...NO EXCEPTIONS!!!!  Only checks made payable to VALLEY FORGE MIDDLE SCHOOL will be accepted...NO CASH!!  Order EARLY and SAVE!!!

 

Book Fair Poster Contest!

 

The Book Fair Is Coming on March 4th, 5th and 6th.  

Use your creativity by submitting a poster to help advertise for this great event.  Posters will be judged and displayed throughout the school.  Scholastic Dollars will be Awarded for First, Second and Third place winners!!

 

DEADLINE:  All posters must be submitted to the Main Office no later than February 12, 2014.

Posters may be on 12" x 18" art paper (obtained in the Art Room) and should include the Book Fair dates.

Attention 8th Graders!

Applications are now available for all 8th grade students interested in applying for Yearbook, Spoke and Lit Mag at Conestoga High School. Applications can be picked up from
guidance, English teachers, and online at the link above: Please see Ms. DeMaris for additional questions.
 

Lend or Donate?

 

We are looking to borrow the following items for use in our production of The Wizard of Oz, March 10-15.  If you are able to lend or donate any of these items please drop them off at the school to Michele Simmoneau in the Library or Main Office M-F between 7am-5pm.  Make sure your name and phone number are clearly labeled on the item so that we may return it to you!!!!  Thanks for all your support!  We look forward to presenting an incredible show in March!!!

Fake apples (lots and lots)

Baskets, one for Dorothy (small), one for Ms. Gultch with lid (large), one wire basket, other miscellaneous for the farm and munchkins

Buckets or Pales (metal or tin, work worn for on the farm)

Stuffed baby chicks (need about 50-70)

Wheel Barrel

Hay (bale of hay)

Crystal Ball

Harlem Wizards Returning for March Madness

"Winter Warm-Up Drive" for an Elementary School in Philadelphia!

 

The HELLO Club & DOVE Club are collecting...

 

NEW:  SOCKS, MITTENS, GLOVES and HATS!

(The smallest children sizes - medium size adult.)

   

These donations are for a K-6 elementary school located in North Philadelphia.  There are about 400 students in the school.  93% of the students are considered to be economically disadvantaged.  Many of the students are in need of socks, mittens/gloves, and hats for the winter months.

 

The Drop-off Box will be in front of the main office January 8th thru 31st.  Please feel free to drop off your donation!

Rhoda Kahler will be the artist in residence during the February and March.  

A Ceramic Mural will be installed in our VFMS main lobby on the brick wall across from the central entrance to the auditorium.
