Many of you may not realize but our signature summer intensive costs us double than what we charge per student. Most comparative programs are priced double what we are charging and in this respect, we maintain a subsidized cost for all.

Why?

We want to entice participants for their desire to learn, to be on stage, to perform, grow artistic talents, and not be limited in any way way by their economic status. Our team members have been making sacrifices for many years to see our program achieve its goals and we are really doing it! But the questions remain....how long can we continue to do this? can we do this alone? what example is this to the students that we are mentoring?

We have often been told that our desire to ease financial pressures actually sometimes works against us and minimizes our worth. For example, have a look at the deluxe party favours attached. This item costs $26 at Loblaws. This is more than the price of our Holiday Concert and we sincerely apologize to our artists and crew for giving their work away at such a price comparison. Certainly we agree that $25 for this line up of professionals at a coveted Mid-Toronto venue is such a giveaway that it may seem like shopping in a bargain basement. Nothing can be further away from this scenario with these international performers who are used to seeing ticket prices of $50 and up for their work. Do view this current giveaway, a way of us making things more accessible....... However as we are now in our second decade of operation, we really do need to begin to rise up and be counted!

What are our needs this season? Aside from our continued programming support needed for the summer intensive, NST desires to produce 2 Canadian music theatre works featuring our Emerging Artists. These projects would cost a minimum of $25,000 each, and we believe that not a penny should come from these young artists, emerging professionals that need to be on the next level .... to even be awarded a fee for their work. We just will not be able to make any this happen without outside support. Every bit helps....consider lending your support today!
