Message from Mrs. Kunze

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Zentz for being selected as St. Johns County's Teacher of the Year!!  She is very deserving of this honor and will represent Swiss Point and
St Johns County well in the state competition.

A big THANK YOU to  Student Council and the Leadership class for working together to sponsor the dance Friday after school.  Everyone seemed to have a great time.

8th grade parents:  If you were unable to attend the High School  101 meeting Thursday night, the PowerPoint and handouts are on the parent page of the Swiss Point website.

It is hard to believe, but it is time to select courses for next school year.  We complete the course registration process early, so course selection data can be used to complete Swiss Point's 16-17 budget, which is due in March.
PLEASE mark your calendars with these important dates!
Monday, Feb. 1st - current 6th & 7th graders will receive course registration materials in homeroom to take home.

The district's next Gifted Parent Advisory Council meeting will be held Thursday, March 3rd from 4:30-5:30pm at Gamble Rogers MS.  The council meets 4 times a year and meetings are open to all parents throughout the district K-12. The final meeting for this year will be held at Mill Creek Elementary on Thursday, April 21st from 5:30-6:30pm.

Below is the FSA & EOC schedule, PLEASE mark your calendars and try not to schedule anything when your child will be testing.  The tests are all back to back so squeezing in make-up exams is very difficult.  If you are discussing schedules with a mom from a different middle school, our schedule is slightly different.  The state selects schools every year to help calibrate each exam and Swiss was chosen for 6th grade math, so we must administer 6th grade math during the first week of testing.
