MS101 Night will be Thursday, July 30th at 6:30pm in the auditorium. This event is for all entering 6th grade parents whether your child is attending camp or not. We will be sharing policies and procedures to help make the transition to middle school easier for you and your child.
Your child can attend the event with you. We are working on a separate program for them in the gym.
Summer Work
Please ensure that your child has completed their summer reading and has memorized their multiplication facts. There are fun websites to help them practice and/or to print multiplication worksheets.
If he/she is bored and would like something else to work on, practicing their typing skills is always worthwhile.
www.typing.com is a free typing website that is easy to use.
Your child can also learn how to open a combination lock by going to the webite link below.

Information for 6th grade camp:
Unfortunately, there are no remaining spots for camp for students who attended one of our feeder elementary schools. We are holding the last 10 spots for new students who will move to our area and register before July 30th.
Camp is Thursday & Friday, July 30th & 31st from 7:30am until 2pm.
Students will need to bring a pencil/pen and a change of clothes to dress out for PE on both days. They can carry their clothes in any small bag that they have. Please make sure their name is somewhere on the bag in case it is misplaced.
Students will be provided chips & a drink for morning snack and pizza, cookies & bottled water for lunch.
Students need to be dropped off and picked-up in the BACK of the school in the bus loop. When children exit the car on Thursday morning, we will give the driver a number that needs to be used both days of camp for pick-up. Because we have 300 students attending camp, dismissal will not go as quickly as parent pick-up during the school year. The dismissal process may take over 30 minutes. In an effort to expedite dismissal, we are asking parents of students with numbers 1-150 to be on campus at 1:50pm. Parents of students with numbers 151-300, please wait until 2:15pm before arriving on campus. Arriving on campus any earlier will only delay the process.
If your child has medication that needs to be administered during camp, we ask that you please stop by Swiss Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday before camp between 7:30am to 3:30pm to bring us the medicine.
If you have any questions or concerns about camp, please email Cynthia Casper, Guidance Secretary, at Cynthia.Casper@stjohns.k12.fl.us
We are looking forward to meeting all of our new Raiders!
