Media Center News

Media Specialist, Judy Gill
Media Paraprofessional, Christine Southworth
Judy.Gill@stjohns.k12.fl.us
On October 21st, the 6th grade students will be entertained by Bartram student and teenage author Jake Marcionette. Jake is the author of the book "Just Jake" that is about a sixth-grader whose life is turned upside down when his family moves from Florida to Maryland and Jake has to adapt to a new school. This book will be on sale in the Media Center for $13 the week before Jake comes to school. Jake will be doing an author signing after the presentation for anyone who has a "Just Jake" book. Please plan on purchasing this book through the Media Center so your student can get an autographed book.
The library will be going through some aesthetic changes this school year, with some new paint and some new seating and lots of new books. We could use some volunteers to help move books and make some room for the changes. There will also be a continuous need throughout the year for parent volunteers to help shelve books. If you can volunteer any time in the Media center please contact Mrs. Gill at
email above.
