Messages from Mrs. Kunze
Thank you to the parents who attended my Middle School 101 meeting last night. For those of you who could not attend, the PowerPoint is on the parent page of the SPMS website.
I hope that everyone will be able to attend Open House next week to meet your child's teachers. We will follow a bell schedule allowing 10minutes in each classroom. Your child filled out a schedule and left it with their homeroom teacher. Please ask your child who their homeroom teacher is and how to get to their room.
Open House for 7th & 8th grade - Tuesday, September 2nd starting at 6pm.
Open House for 6th grade - Thursday, September 4th starting at 6pm.
Open House Schedule

New Florida Standards Assessment
In the spring your child will take the new Florida Standards Assessment, which will measure their knowledge of the Florida Standards in Reading and Math. The assessment is quite different than the FCAT 2.0 as it is not all multiple choice. I encourage you to take the practice tests. Please open the link below in Chrome or FireFox.
