A HUGE THANK YOU to all the students who volunteered to move to advanced courses. At this time we do not need to move any additional students.
As of this afternoon, we have 21 students registered for Beyond the Bell. We will offer the program and hope that a few more families register. Students who are registered need to report to the library after school each day.
Our "Get Ready for School Day" is Saturday, August 16th. Each grade level is assigned specific times to attend to help with wait time in lines. If a student can not attend during their assigned time, he may attend during a different grade level. If the student can not attend at all, a friend can pick up their schedule, textbooks, locker, etc. The friend needs to be sent with a note giving us permission to give him/her everything. Every student will receive a new copy of their schedule in homeroom on the first day and we will continue to check-out textbooks to those students who need them the first week of school.

6th grade Camp
I forgot to mention......students do need to be in dress code for camp. They can bring a change of clothes for "PE" in a drawstring bag or a bag that they have if you are waiting to purchase a drawstring at our Get Ready for School event.
Supply list for 6th grade Critical Thinking/Teen Leadership
We have a new teacher for this course and she would like to add a 1 1/2 inch binder, 5 dividers, and 1 composition journal to the supply list.
Supply list for 6th grade science
We were told that the non-perforated, college ruled spiral listed can not be found. The spiral will be used for the student's interactive notebook. The teachers do not want a composition journal. They want the size of a spiral, but don't want the perforated edges, because the pages will fall out throughout the year. Wide ruled in whatever you can find will be acceptable.
If you have additional questions, please email me.
Have a great weekend!
