A HUGE Thank You to Tony & Nery DiDeo!

Throughout the three years the DiDeo triplets were at Swiss Point, Tony & Nery have donated thousands of dollars to our school to buy computers, books, and to support the Media Center. They did so through their own contributions and through matching funds from CSX.  We are so grateful for their contribution and years of volunteering, and to CSX. Do you know if your business has a matching donation/volunteer program?  If you're not sure, check with your Human Resources office today!

Thank you to our amazing business partners.

They're listed in the left column of every Raider Rap.  Please be sure to thank them when you frequent their business and let them know their support of SPMS matters!

Camp Safe Haven
Camp Safe Haven is a free, grief support camp for children ages 6-12 who have lost someone close to them.  This is a camp that is designed to help children understand their feelings of loss and find peace.  The trained staff and volunteers provide an opportunity for fun and therapeutic activities which will help them work through their feelings of grief.  This camp is open to any child who has lost a loved one.  The loved one did not have to be a patient of Haven Hospice in order for the child to attend.  They support all those in our communities who have suffered a loss.

Moseley's Food For Thought

Wow!  It's hard to believe the school year is almost over!  Students have been very diligent in taking four of their semester exams so far!  Please encourage your child to 'hang in there' for Monday's exams (B3 and B4) and Tuesday's exam (Skinny).  It has been a pleasure working with the students on my case load and I wish only the very best for all of my 8th graders moving on to High School!  I'll miss you!  Have a fun and safe summer!

Blood Shortage Appeal

Since the holidays we have been either short or critical on most blood types. On a national level, blood donations have been trending downward, but usage continues to stay at high levels.   If we have a large need like we did last week when Mayo performed 3 O+ liver transplants in one day, we can easily become critically low on any given blood type. Please contact the Blood Alliance at www.igiveblood.com or call 824-1891.
