In Friday's edition I forgot to mention two important items.
Dean Position
Dean Clement gave me a resignation letter on Friday afternoon, Dec. 6th, stating that he and his family would be returning to Kentucky. His original plan was for his wife and children to move that weekend and he would remain in Florida until Dec. 20th. There was a change of plans and Dean Clement moved with his family on the 7th.
We advertised internally and have 2 teachers interested in the dean position. We will hold interviews today after school. If we decide to advertise externally, the job will not be posted through the district's hiring system until the first week of January.
Please be patient with us as we work to replace Dean Clement as quickly as possible. Dean Burney will do her best, but will be busy with 1275 students.
Blood Drive at Swiss Point MS On Monday, January 13th we will host a blood drive here at Swiss Point from 10am to 3pm. We need 30 people to give blood. The gentleman from the FL/GA Blood Alliance doesn't think we can get 30 people to donate. Obviously, he doesn't know Swiss Point and how we accept a challenge. :)
Please view the attached schedule and then call or email Cynthia Casper in Guidance to make an appointment. It would be wonderful to make more than 30 appointments, so the blood alliance would need to bring two blood mobiles or come back for a 2nd day.
We would love for you to donate your blood to Baby Blake Hunter, who will need blood for future surgeries throughout his life.
Let's show FL/GA Blood Alliance the Raider Spirit!!
