We apologize for this very short ordering period. We were just given the ordering information and the company requires 6 weeks to process and deliver.
Courses for next year
We have completed the process of using FCAT scores to adjust final course placement for next year. The courses have been updated in the computer system and are available to view on HAC.
Remember that students must score a level 3 or higher on the FCAT Reading to take Advanced Language Arts, Science or Social Studies.
If you would like to take a virtual course in lieu of a traditional classroom course, the request MUST be made by July 20th. After the 20th, students may not drop a course for any reason to take it virtually.
Report Cards, FCAT & EOC Results
Report cards and paper reports of FCAT and EOCs are available to be picked up from us Mon - Thu between 7:30am and 5:30pm. We are located in the 9th grade center at Bartram Trail High School.
Course Grade Calculation
The courses at Swiss Point (except Alg & Geo) are broken into 2 semesters like the high school courses.
Semester grades are calculated using the district formula....
Qtr 1 (.40) + Qtr 2 (.40) + Sem Exam (.20) = semester grade
OR
Qtr 3 (.40) + Qtr 4 (.40) + Sem Exam (.20) = semester grade
Moving & not returning to Swiss Point MS?
If you know that you are moving and not returning to Swiss Point next year, PLEASE contact Cynthia Casper in the guidance office at 547-8627.

Requirements for 7th Grade
Important Information
The SPMS offices will be relocating to BTHS (in the 9th Grade Academy Building). Please see above "Important Dates" to know where the FL680 forms can be turned in.
Rising 7th graders can NOT attend classes or receive their schedule in August without proof of Tdap vaccine! This shot must be documented on a DH 680(Florida shot record) Check with your physician to see if your student has already had the shot and have them document the Tdap along with your student's other immunizations on a DH 680(Florida shot record).
If you choose to go to a walk in clinic you must ask the clinic to print you out a hard copy of the 680 shot record which shows the Tdap your child received. A receipt from the clinic will not be accepted! If you choose to go to the St. Johns County Health Department (825-5055) please call ahead to see if you qualify for their Vaccines for Children Program.

Host Families Needed for 28 days in July
Spanish exchange students arrive in the area on Sunday, June 30 and return to Spain on Friday, July 26th. Local families are needed to host these students. Host families provide a room, meals, limited transportation and a warm supportive environment. Students are to have chores and be treated like a family member not a guest. All students speak English and come with their own spending money and medical insurance. We have two field trips a week in which host family members are welcome to come along at group discounted pricing. We will be visiting Universal Studios, Sea World, Daytona Lagoon as well as local sights.
This is a great program for families with younger children as it's a great way to start off the summer with a responsible teenager in the home especially when day care is no longer available for your 5 th & 6th graders. Enrich your life with an exceptional young person and open doors to learn about a new culture. Hosting can change your world!
Interested families please contact Susan James at 904-806-1392 or steptousa@aol.com
