NEW this year!!
In the past if a student was late or was absent when session 1 of an exam was administered, we could give session 2 and only have make-ups for session 1. This is no longer the case. If your child is late to school and misses session 1 of math on Monday, he will have to sit in the office the entire testing time and take both sessions 1 & 2 during make-ups. This pertains to Computer-Based Testing (CBT) Reading as well. If your child is absent Tuesday for CBT Reading session 1 and shows up Wednesday for session 2, we can not administer it. The student will have to take session 1 & 2 during make-ups.
Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
FCAT Reading for 6th & 7th graders will be on the computer this year. The students have been practicing for the last two weeks through their language arts class. Students have practiced how to use the tools - highlighter, eliminate choices, eraser, etc.
Students have been instructed to NOT double click while in the testing software. Double clicking causes pages to be skipped and can cause issues on the test. PLEASE remind your child to LISTEN to the directions and to keep their hands OFF the computer until they are instructed to do something.
