OV Cup is NEXT week!!
Friday, February 6th

Project Grad's primary fundraiser, the annual Oro Valley Cup, still needs more registered golfers, more raffle and silent auction donations, and more sponsors to reach our fundraising goals. Also needed are a few more people to help put on this fun, Friday February 6th event.

The busy people on the OV Cup Committee are working extra hard this week on behalf of soon-to-be graduates at IRHS, CDO and Amphi High. Consider how you can help them and contribute to the primary fundraiser for the all three high school's safe and sober all-night graduation events.

Call Greg Fitzgerald at 520-461-0941 or Jim Miller at 520-400-3498 if you have questions or would like to volunteer.
See below for the committee's letter:

Attention All Amphi Parents:

The Oro Valley Cup Golf Tournament is fast approaching.  This event is the only joint fundraiser for Project Graduation and it also provides a much needed source of funding for all three high schools in the Amphi District.  The ability to fund Project Graduation would be severely threatened without the funds raised from this golf tournament.   Last year the tournament raised approximately $33,000, with each school receiving a much needed  $11,000 for their event. Project Graduation is a volunteer run event and 100% of funds raised are spent on the event with absolutely no monies spent on administration costs/salaries.

Some of you may think...my student is only in kindergarten, why are you asking me for help with an event that doesn't affect me or my children?  The reality is that this event benefits the entire Amphi community. Project Graduation provides a drug and alcohol free environment for graduating seniors, who if they did not have this event to attend may engage in risky behavior that puts them and the community that they live in at risk.   We are proud of the students in the Amphi District and think they are good kids,  but even "good" children can make bad decisions; bad decisions that can lead to accidents and even death.

Someday your child will be a senior and I'm sure you will want the peace of mind of knowing that your child and your community is safe on graduation night.  We need the support of all parents to continue the tradition of Project Graduation.  There are many ways you can help with this event, we need the following:

  • Golfers - Our goal this year is have 200 golfers attend.
  • Sponsorships - We have existing sponsorship packages but can always tailor one to meet your specific needs.
  • Donations for the raffle and silent auction -   Gift cards and golf related items are great for raffle prizes.  Vacation stays and unique items/packages have been really popular silent auction items in the past.

The Oro Valley Cup is on Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at the Hilton El Conquistador Country Club in Oro Valley.  Price is $150 per golfer or $600 for a foursome.  This price includes a box lunch and a dinner after golfing.

Get a group of friends together for a foursome and join us at the Hilton El Conquistador for a day of golf for a good cause.  We welcome both male and female golfers of all skill levels .  We can't guarantee you a low score but we will do our best to provide you with a quality event that you will want to attend year after year.  If you can't join us for golf, please forward this to anyone you know that golfs and also  consider making a donation.  Do you own your own business?  Consider a hole sponsorship or one of the other various levels.  Ask your employer if it has a matching donation program, meaning it will match whatever dollar amount you donate.  Project Graduation is a 501(c)3 entity so donations may be tax deductible along with a portion of the golf fees - we will provide you with our tax id# and a receipt for your records.  There are so many ways to get involved and every little bit helps.  We ask that you get involved now, so that Project Graduation continues keeping our community safe for generations to come.
