10 Day Mind/Body/Spirit Health Program concludes with this mindful yoga class. Open to all students, we'll practice a slow flow yoga class with restorative props throughout. Free for members.

Monday 9-10:15 AM Mindful Slow Flow with Amy De Lucia-Ferri
We have this class available to our community especially for moms dropping their children off at all the local schools. Spread the word and come on in! All levels welcome.

Tuesday and Thursday 10 - 11 AM Gentle Yoga
We will slowly explore asana (postures) by moving gently. Think mostly seated postures or lying down using props for support and exploration. No experience necessary. Great for injury recovery. 

Thursday 11:30 - 12:30 PM Vinyasa Flow with Caitlin Bailey
We can still be mindful and flow with the breath as the body moves. This class, though you won't be asked to do a trillion chaturangas, is not for beginners.

Friday 7- 8 PM "Village People" with Ellie Aaron
Super fun Friday! Kick off your weekend moving your body with breath awareness to music of the 80s . All levels welcome to this upbeat move and groove yoga class with one of the most upbeat and real teachers around! We are village people after all. All levels welcome.

Saturday 11:45 - 1:00 PM Vinyasa Flow with Amy McNamara

Saturday 1:30 - 2:30 PM Basics with Laura Schatz 
Learn the foundations of yoga: Panayama (breathing), Asana (posture) and Dhyana (meditation). Doesn't get any more grounded than this. Have a question? Ask. 

Sunday 5:30 - 6:30 PM Restorative Yoga with Sofia Forman
Using support props and resting, restorative yoga helps you become more intimate with your relationship to old nagging injuries and ones that seem to come and go. Students and teacher will place their mats in a circular arrangement so everyone can see each other and work together. No experience necessary.

We are excited to have Ven. Lawrence Do'an Grecco the first Sunday of the month through 2014! Lawrence leads a Zen meditation practice, and gives us a kōan to contemplate and discuss. Learn about yourself and our world through Dharma and life talks.

Parents at Savasana Station ... looking to practice mindfulness with your children? We've got the place for you! IDP Kids: Mindfulness for Parents and Children. 


 

This curriculum is especially designed for ages 6-12. All children must be accompanied by a parent. No experience with meditation or mindfulness is necessary

 

Heidi Marben, PsyD., has been teaching in schools for more than thirty years. She holds a master's degree in Elementary and Special Education, and a doctorate from NYU in School and Child Psychology. Heidi has worked for the past 11 years as the lower school psychologist at Trinity School, where she has developed and taught a mindfulness curriculum since 2009. 
 

Want to deepen your meditation practice but not quite ready for that week long retreat iinto your mind? The Interdependence Project has just the urban meditation retreat for you! 

Studies indicate that Mindfulness meditation can help reduce anxiety and increase general well-being and overall happiness. Join teachers Kate Johnson and Lani Feinberg-Rowe for a weekend of deepening your meditation, and becoming present to your life through the simple practice of paying attention.

IDP Weekend retreats are a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the practices and teachings of the Buddhist tradition in the support of a group environment. It will include talks and practice instruction, in-depth meditation, and discussion.

Kim Stetz teaches Yoga, meditation, and guides contemplative group whole foods eating programs incorporating Yoga and Buddhist philosophies. Gravitating towards its healing aspects from the inside out, Kim feels that Yoga is a vital part of daily living and anyone can participate in and have a Yoga practice. In 2014, Kim founded Savasana Station, a boutique Yoga studio in the East Village, NYC, creating her home away from home. When she's not doing Yoga on the mat or sitting on a cushion, she's watching her mind and body in action in improv comedy class, drinking wine, cooking, rockin' out, laughing with friends and laughing at herself.
