Award-winning research by University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy reveals walking to school is more social in nature and that kids just want to feel safe. Findings were gathered from interviews with Grade 5 students from five elementary schools.  Students mapped their routes, shared what they liked or disliked and how they felt about walking to school.
