Summer's just around the corner. Make sure your summer camp options include camps that get kids moving more.

Give walking to school a test run
Walking to school is one of the easiest ways for kids to move every day. Sadly, only 28% of Canadian kids use active travel to get to school. Now that the weather is warmer, it's the perfect time to encourage your kids to try walking to school.

Need help getting started? Use these tips and tools to make walking to school the safe and easy choice.

Healthy kids, healthy minds
New to Heart & Stroke Foundation 60 Minute Kids's Club? Veteran 60MKC school champion Val Gordon from Eastend Elementary School has been using the healthy tracker tool to support her Health and PE Classes for two years. Here's what she has to say,"

"Eastend school has taken the Spring Challenge in both 2014 and 2015 and the kids love it! They are gung ho and remind me that they have to log their healthy behaviours. It takes 7 minutes, the kids know what to do and their accounts are the same ones each year. It supports our curriculum and outcomes perfectly, leads to good discussions around health. In addition, the goal setting and action plan is great. [The kids] get excited when I let them know how the school is doing within Saskatchewan and across Canada. I also will be looking at the Fundamental Movement Skills tool for use next year."

If this sounds like a way to get kids moving at your school, take part in one or all three of the free 30-day challenges in the 2015-16 school year. There are 25 spots available for Saskatchewan. Join before June 15 to secure your challenge dates.   Click here to register today.
