Dear Valued QQWebRater Customer,

As of April 8th, 2014, Microsoft has ended support for the Windows XP platform. See the following link: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/end-support-help.

QQ Solutions recommends you upgrade your systems now, as Windows XP is vulnerable from a security and stability perspective due to this lack of support from Microsoft. In addition, Windows XP with Internet Explorer 8 has reduced functionality. Windows XP does not allow you to install Internet Explorer 9 or later.

Due to Microsoft’s lack of support for Windows XP, some QQWebRater customers using Windows XP with the Internet Explorer 8 browser are now experiencing difficulty quoting. Should this impact your organization, we recommend to use Chrome, Firefox or other browsers in order to return to normal quoting.

Additionally, several carriers are requiring Internet Explorer as the preferred browser when bridging from QQWebRater to the carrier site. These carriers do not currently permit the use of Chrome or Firefox when bridging. We are investigating options to that will permit you to bridge while you are still on Windows XP and will communicate those options to you as they are defined.

In general though, our recommendation to our customers is to upgrade your Windows operating system to Windows 7 or Windows 8 as soon as possible.
