For democracy to work, We the People must be engaged and informed, but taking that first step can be intimidating.
Whether you want to learn more about getting involved or expand your advocacy skills, come to one of DCADV's new
Effective Advocacy in Action Workshops!
DCADV's Director of Advocacy and Policy, Mariann Kenville-Moore, will lead upcoming workshops on how to effectively make your voice heard by government and in our communities. Topics covered will include what advocacy is, how policies and legislation are made, and how you can become involved in DCADV's work to end violence against women. Whether you're a concerned citizen interested in making that first phone call to support key legislation or a seasoned activist hoping to brush up on your advocacy skills, this training workshop will empower you to achieve meaningful change in your community.
