 IMPORTANT EMV Update
On August 15, 2016 Intuit will shift fraud liability to all clients using Intuit POS v2013 (v11) and v12. This means you will be liable for any fraudulent activity that may occur.
USING v12: Your software is EMV compliant and covered for any fraud liability. What Do I Need to Do Next to Be Fully EMV Compliant: (1) VERY IMPORTANT: Accept all software patches BEFORE you install the new EMV ready PIN Pad. Intuit will be sending out new iPP350 pin pads with the updated firmware so you can begin using the new chip/pin technology. (2) Ensure that you install this new EMV iPP350 as soon as it is received. There will be an EMV approved sticker on the new version to distinguish it from the one you are currently using. You will NOT be required to return your old pin pad, and we suggest keeping it as an emergency backup. Note: The Magtek swipe is not EMV compliant and you will need to purchase an approved Pin Pad--contact us at 256-337-5200 for assistance.
NOT USING v12: You will need to upgrade to v12 to be EMV compliant, please call Jerie, 256-337-5200, for a quote. We all know that making a change can be costly, so Intuit is offering 50% off software and 50% off EMV hardware if you upgrade by 9-15-16. Liability for all POS v8, v9, and v10 users will shift on September 15, 2016 to allow you time to upgrade. We encourage you to take advantage of these low prices to become compliant.
What if I am using GoPayment?
If you are also using GoPayment to process payments, Intuit's Upgrade Support team can also assist you with EMV compliance.

You can continue to use these solutions, of course, but Intuit live technical support and add-on services like payroll, credit card processing, online banking and bill-pay are no longer accessible.
