The QBC
 :

Last month we talked about spring cleaning your QuickBooks file to keep everything healthy and running smoothly.  This month we dive into managing your fixed assets.  Fixed assets are physical entities that you purchase to help your business generate revenue, like property, a vehicle, or a commercial oven.  By definition, they must be in use for over 12 months.

Much of the work you do in QuickBooks is straight-forward. You enter a bill and you pay it.  You send an invoice, and it gets paid. Your purchase order is fulfilled, and the products move into your inventory. You run payroll and submit their related taxes and other payments.  Managing the life cycle of your fixed assets is an exception and one that often requires some extra guidance and assistance.

Goodbye to QuickBooks Financial 2011 Support &
PCI Compliance for Payments Accounts

On May 31, 2014, Intuit will discontinue support for QuickBooks Financial Pro, Premier, Simple Start 2011, QuickBooks for Mac 2011, and QBES 2011. You can continue to use these solutions, of course, but live technical support and add-on services like payroll, credit card processing, online banking and bill-pay will not be accessible.

By November 1, 2014, Intuit will need to re-certify all payments accounts to be PCI compliant.  Existing Payments clients on POS v.8, v.9 or v.10 will need to add/modify their Payment account(s) or upgrade to QuickBooks POS 2013 to be PCI compliant.  Small Business Solutions will continue to support all POS versions, but if there is an issue beyond The QBBob Team's knowledge, then Intuit will not help resolve the problem.

Talk to us about upgrading if you're using any of these products or services.
