The K9 Klub has tons of events and activities coming up this year and are very thankful for everyone's support. We could not have achieved what we have without the continued support of our volunteers, members and sponsors throughout the years. Don't forget with a New Year comes the necessity for a new dog license. Get your 2013 license at any of the following locations:

If you haven't had a chance to read the Saturday, January 2013 Liberal this weekend, there was a front page article discussing a topic near and dear to our hearts, Richmond Hill Animal Services, and the presentation of a long awaited report from Town staff. The report offers recommendations on next steps towards Richmond Hill implementing a responsible pet ownership approach to the delivery of animal services. The report is to be presented to Town Council at Monday's Committee of the Whole Meeting, January 21 4:30pm. A copy of the staff report can be found here. Promoting and educating responsible dog ownership has been a mandate of the K9 Klub since its inception and we are very pleased that our Town is considering adding the philosophy to their approach to Animal Services. We will, of course, continue to offer our support and assistance wherever we can in this important project. Please take some time to offer comments and suggestions to your Ward Councillor on this important topic.
Our next event on the calendar is the Richmond Hill Winter Carnival, and once again the K9 Klub will be setting up a leash free park at the North East corner of the pond right beside Pet Valu's demonstration ring area on Saturday, February 2nd and Sunday the 3rd . See Pictures from last year. We'd love to see you and your pooch out that weekend! Assuming we can secure enough volunteers, we'll offer once again, for a small donation, dog sitting for an hour or so for properly licensed dogs.
Volunteers to supervise the park at Winter Carnival are needed! We'll be there from 10am to 4pm on both Saturday and Sunday. If you can help for a couple of hours (or more), drop us a line! volunteer@rhk9klub.ca
