"The Monsoon" raises funds for The Wylie Center on December 20th

Lorenz "The Monsoon" Larkin is hosting a charity Ping Pong Tournament to benefit the great community work done by The Wylie Center. The event takes place at Lorenz' home gym, Millennia MMA, on Dec. 20, 2013 from 1-5 p.m. Millennia MMA Gym is located at 8423 Rochester Avenue, #102, Rancho Cucamonga, CA 91730.

Lorenz will provide food and drinks during the event and there will also be live raffles and great opportunities to meet and hang out with local MMA stars. Simply bring $20, canned goods or unwrapped gifts to be donated to the Wylie Center to enter the Ping Pong Tournament for a chance to win a Grand Prize. All money, canned foods, and gifts will go directly to the Wylie Center to immediately and positively affect the lives of local families in need.

Lorenz, a rising star in the UFC, is originally from Riverside, CA and takes great pride in his community, saying, "It's a dream to fight for the UFC and I am so proud of where I'm from. Getting together with The Wylie Center to help families is something I'm excited to get the chance to do."

Don't forget to stay healthy and eat well this month as we immerse ourselves in the holiday festivities.  You've worked very hard this year.  What could be a better way to ring in the new year than to celebrate your success (instead of looking forward to that ominous resolution)?  Stay strong!  Bistromd.com advises:

  • pack a snack;
  • be aware of your environment; and
  • overindulgence makes you Grinch-like.
