Newsletter 2013

 November is Child Safety Month

Let us keep our little ones safe during this season of much travel while we enjoy a safe and Happy Thanksgiving.  Blogger Tina Becci advises the following precautions:

  • Always use an appropriate carseat;
  • Bring along safety devices if you are staying in an older relative's house;
  • Arrive early;
  • Check hotel rooms.

We Did It!

Many thanks to all our donors who helped us raise $3,500 during the massive webathon: Give Big Riverside.  This amount is triple what we raised last year!  We couldn't have done it without you!  A shout out to Dennis Mattson whose contribution won a golden ticket and made us an additional $250

Special Thanks!

Dart Foundation representative with Melody Amaral, CEO of The Wylie Center

The Wylie Center and its supporters thank The Dart Foundation for their generous donation of $2,900 to our Breaking Barriers to Learning project.

Trick-or-Treating at The Wylie Center

Children from The Wylie Center's child care facility  enjoyed a morning of trick-or-treating at the main office.  Staff had the pleasure of handing out treats to a pirate, an astronaut, a batman and princesses, among others.

Costumed kids get a ride through hallways.
