We have just had our first USA PRO CHALLENGE event come through Estes Park. We had the
novelty of being the first pass through community ever in this race. There were a multitude
of unknown factors with being the first. Our community was tasked with an unpredictable
number of people coming to our town and having to prepare for the town's people and the
racers safety. Being under-prepared was not an option.
This is only the third year of the race and the US Pro Challenge committee is very mindful of the
economic impact on the communities they touch. They are currently discussing how to make
the Start and the Finish of each stage be in the same community as published in the Denver
Post. (

We (Rob Pieper-Restaurants, Elizabeth Fogarty-EALA, Diane Muno-EVPC, Charley Dickey-
Downtown Businesses) are asking the businesses to complete a simple survey so we can assess
the impact to our town, both from a short and long term perspective. The surveys will become
available at the end of this week. We will share the results of the survey with the community,
after the information is assembled.
You may send your respond to
USProChallenge@aol.com, or to any one of the people below,
or turn in a written survey to Charley Dickey at Rustic Mountain Charm - 135 East Elkhorn
Avenue (Next to Laura's Fudge).
If you prefer to send this information to your organization please send the completed survey to:
