NC Campus Compact is accepting nominations for our annual faculty and staff civic engagement awards. Both awards will be presented at the 2014 PACE Conference at UNC Wilmington.    

 

Deadline:  January 10, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.

Robert L. Sigmon Service-Learning Award

 

 

This award recognizes one faculty member on an NC Campus Compact member campus who has made significant contributions toward furthering the practice of service-learning.

Call for Nominations

Civic Engagement Professional of the Year Award

 

This award recognizes staff on NC Campus Compact member campuses that have worked towards the institutionalization of service, created and strived towards a vision of service on their campus, supported faculty and students, and formed innovative campus-community partnerships.   

Nominations are accepted in two categories.

    • Emerging Leader - Individual in the civic engagement field for 4 years or less
    • Sustainer - Individual in the civic engagement field for 5 or more years

RSVP by January 3rd

 

Engage in dialogue with other members as well as the NC Campus Compact staff and gain in-depth information on a particular topic. The agenda includes a professional development session, lunch, business meeting (in which NC Campus Compact staff share updates about our work), and an opportunity for member campuses to share highlights.

Each member campus Provost was invited to identify a team leader who will share regular updates and pre-work information. Be sure you have connected with your team leader.

 

Members are also invited to come early for Deliberative Diaogue Moderator training on Monday, February 3rd at UNCW.
