What a great month of sports coming up in October! The US Figure Skating Regionals return, the area's largest soccer tournament takes place, and the Wenatchee Wild crank up their second season in the BCHL. And that's just some of the highlights. Read on and take your pick of activities to watch or participate in.

| Wild Hockey Season Underway |
After opening on the road, the Wenatchee Wild has four consecutive home games at Town Toyota Center. Langley comes to town Friday September 30th (tonight), followed by Salmon Arm Saturday the 1st. The following weekend, October 7 & 8, Prince George comes in for a 2-game set. Wild Season Schedule.

| US Figure Skating Regionals Set To Return |
For the 2nd time in 3 years, the Town Toyota Center will host the US Figure Skating Northwest Pacific Regionals. Some 270 skaters representing six western states are expected to compete in this prestigious event from October 19-23. The competition is hosted by the Wenatchee Figure Skating Club.

The biggest soccer tournament of the season, the Wenatchee FC Apple Cup Tournament, takes place October 7-9 at several locations throughout the Wenatchee area. This youth tourney generally draws 80+ teams from throughout the Pacific Northwest.

The Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife has a section online highlighting the hunting prospects for areas throughout the state, including Chelan & Douglas counties. Information includes specific game, as well as tools and maps.

| Outdoor Rec Survey Deadlines Soon |
There is limited time remaining for you to participate in an all-important survey concerning outdoor recreation in Chelan & Douglas counties. The survey is part of a year-long study that will provide information to help direct the future planning of outdoor rec in the 2-county area. Residents and visitors are highly encouraged to participate. Participants will automatically enter a random drawing that includes 2 season passes and 50 day passes to Mission Ridge, and 2 Fitbit Wireless Activity Wristbands! On Saturday, October 8th the Mission Ridge Ski Team will be hosting its 24th Annual Bomber Wing Benefit Dinner Auction at the Wenatchee Convention Center. The event is the Mission Ridge Ski Teams largest fund raiser of the year with 100% of the proceeds going directly to support the athletes.
