One thing to watch out for is assuming the future will reflect the past. As a matter of fact, that whole "past performance is no guarantee of future result" is actually true.
So, looking at history over the past 14 to 15 years, what would happen with your returns and volatility if you had invested for the year based on the best asset class for the prior year?

The unmanaged stock market indexes are experiencing much more volatility this year compared to last.
Now is the time a well balanced portfolio really shows it's worth.
What is your audit probability?
The probability of getting audited is much lower today than it was 30 years ago, but is up since the year 2000.
It is definitely income dependent.
If you made more than $200,000, you had a 3.26 % probability of being audited in 2013, but a less than 1% probability if you made less than that. Over $1mm in income? You've got a 1 in 10 chance.

Definition: Leveraged Buyout LBO
Defined:
The acquisition of another company using a significant amount of borrowed money (bonds or loans) to meet the cost of acquisition. Often, the assets of the company being acquired are used as collateral for the loans in addition to the assets of the acquiring company. The purpose of leveraged buyouts is to allow companies to make large acquisitions without having to commit a lot of capital.
