Women's TeaCelebrating Women's History Month! Honoring women in the South Loop who are pioneering roles models.

In communities around the United States, National Women's History Month provides an opportunity to share the significant role of women in American history and contemporary society, and to recognize women who have been instrumental in their local communities. Join us as we celebrate the women of the South Loop and honor one of our own as South Loop Woman of the Year.   Nominations are being accepted through February 15. Use the nomination form to suggest a South Loop woman making a difference in our neighborhood, around Chicago or around the world.

We're looking for women artists to play background music or display art during the tea. If interested, please contact Amanda at (312) 772-2356 or info@overflowcoffeebar.org.   Women and girls of all ages are welcome. Come prepared to eat and drink a traditional afternoon tea with finger sandwiches, sweets, fruits and a variety of tea options.

Both hard-hitting and inspiring, The Economics of
Happiness demonstrates that millions of people across the world are already engaged in building a better world -that small scale initiatives are happening on a large scale. The film shows that countless initiatives are united around a common cause: rebuilding more democratic, human scale, ecological and local economies - the foundation of an 'economics of happiness'. Discussion afterward will be lead by Local First Chicago.
Local First Chicago Local First Chicago is a network of locally owned,
