UNITED WAY HONORS TOP CAMPAIGN SUPPORTERS
 


A celebration of the largest campaign in its 90-year history, an address by U.S. United Way President Stacey Stewart and a special honor for local housing advocate Ruth Nelson highlighted the annual Live United Awards recently presented by the Tulsa Area United Way.

RUTH NELSON RECEIVES CLYDELLA HENTSCHEL AWARD
 


Ruth Nelson is the recipient of this year's Clydella Hentschel Award for Women in Leadership.

She was recently presented the award at the Live United Awards and Luncheon.

The Clydella Hentschel Award for Women in Leadership recognizes women who have left the ladder down to help pave the way for other women to advance in community leadership.

Cathy Gates and Megan Weinkauf share a strong desire to give back to their community. They are also both accountants and graduates of the University of Arkansas.

"This was a match made in heaven," said Cathy.

Cathy and Megan are a part of the Emerging Leaders Society mentorship program, a joint effort with the Tulsa Area United Way Alexis de Tocqueville Society. Megan is a member of ELS and an accounting manager at Waterfield Energy. Cathy is a member of the Tocqueville Society and managing partner at Ernst & Young.


MEET THE FUTURE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES: ANNIE'S STORY



Nine-year-old Annie Cramton believes she can become President of the United States.

After getting to know Annie during the 2014 campaign, many United Way supporters do not doubt her assertion.

At the end of last year's campaign video, Annie famously stated, "I believe I can do anything now - even become President of the United States."
