LARGEST CAMPAIGN IN HISTORY
 


The Tulsa Area United Way unveiled a major milestone in its 90-year history recently, announcing a record campaign of $26,602,884.

The total amount raised exceeded this year's goal of $26,200,000 - the largest goal in its history - by $402,884. This year's campaign also surpassed last year's total amount raised of $26,159,826.

One of the nation's first health clinics for homeless and at-risk youth, a camp bringing hope to child victims of domestic violence, a mobile lab that will provide a STEM education to underserved schools and "vanpooling" to transport low-income workers to jobs will receive the first Innovation Grants from the Tulsa Area United Way.

SAND SPRINGS STUDENTS SHARE THE MISSION OF UNITED WAY TO RAISE FUNDS
 


The Central Ninth Grade Center at the Sand Springs Public Schools recently presented a check for $5,126.20 toward the Tulsa Area United Way campaign.

To raise the funds, students contacted business leaders in Sand Springs and held several special fundraising events. In addition, members of the Student Council visited classrooms to present information about the United Way and the importance of giving back.

Ninth grader Devin Wilson contributed $1,596 of his own savings.

Meagin had become an angry freshman at East Central High School and people who knew her knew something wasn't right.

That's when the Mental Health Association Oklahoma's TeenScreen program came to Meagin's school and became, according to Meagin, the one thing that changed her life the most.
