ANNUAL LIVE UNITED LUNCHEON AND AWARDS

The Tulsa Area United Way will hold its Annual Live United Luncheon and Awards on Tuesday, Feb. 18 to take a look back at the successes of 2013 and the history-making campaign. This event will be an opportunity to thank the many companies, organizations and individuals who supported our community through a generous donation to the United Way.

CAMPAIGN SURPLUS RESULTS IN HIGHER LEVEL OF COMMUNITY SUPPORT

The largest fundraising campaign in its history will result in additional funding of $1 million to agencies supported by the Tulsa Area United Way.
"This historic campaign will result in the largest investment the United Way has ever made in our community," said Mark R. Graham, president and CEO of the Tulsa Area United Way. "The record overage will allow us to make an ever greater impact in meeting the needs of our friends and neighbors."

| WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP COUNCIL SUMMIT: THE POWER TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE

Make plans to attend the 2014 Women's Leadership Council Annual Summit on February 18 immediately prior to the Live United Luncheon and Awards.
Hear from speakers such as Meredith Siegfried, NORDAM; Frauke Quiroga, Luxa Enterprises/Clifford Power Supply; and Cassie Reese, Crossland Construction on the topic of making a collective impact and the power to make connections to solve problems. Take part in hands-on breakout sessions on the topics of mentoring and education. Former Mayor Kathy Taylor will moderate the keynote discussion.
And don't miss the announcement of the Clydella Hentschel Award for Women in Leadership recipient.

| FROM CHAOS TO CALM: BRITTANY'S STORY

 Addiction to drugs and alcohol for nearly 10 years left Brittany Parsons homeless. The turning point came when she gave birth to her youngest child and both tested positive for methamphetamine.
It was then, through help from her family, that she was able to get into the substance abuse program at Palmer, a United Way partner agency. |
