TULSA AREA UNITED WAY ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN CABINET |

 The Tulsa Area United Way announced the members of its Campaign Cabinet - more than 40 volunteers who will provide leadership for the 2013 Campaign.
The new slate of members was announced at the Campaign Cabinet's first meeting of the year on Monday, April 15.
"These dedicated individuals have already begun to prepare for this year's campaign," said Becky J. Frank, Chairman and CEO of Schnake Turnbo Frank and 2013 Campaign Chair. "Each member of the cabinet is committed to developing the resources necessary to build a better community and improve the lives of our friends and neighbors."

American Airlines and the Transport Workers Union Local 514 will once again hold their popular United Way fundraiser, the Tulsa Poker Run, on Saturday, June 22. If you have a motorcycle or classic car, and you enjoy driving around town, check out this fun event! You can also enter a raffle to win a Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

BEAR'S STORY |

 "Bear" is a proud member of the United Way family, serving multiple roles: board member, labor representative, community investment panel member, volunteer and chef.
Also known as Mike Messick, Bear has completed several terms on the Tulsa Area United Way Board of Directors, representing the labor community. But he may be more famous for his venison chili.
"I started out cooking hamburgers and hot dogs at United Way agency events." Since then, he's become a chef in demand.
