It has been a pleasure to serve as WVAGP President these past two years.  I am proud to be part of an organization that promotes and supports geospatial professionals in the effective use and sharing of geospatial information and related resources throughout the state of West Virginia. 
 
I hope to see many of you at the WV GIS Conference  in Charleston on June 2-5, another excellent opportunity to learn about the latest geospatial activities in the Mountain State while networking with your colleagues.

2014 WV GIS Conference (June 2-5)
The WV GIS Conference will be here soon.  It is not too late to register!  Walk-ins are welcome.
  • 180 or more people and 18 exhibitors have registered for the conference
  • 30 slides of Geospatial Jeopardy fun!
  • 15 laptops provided by Esri for their Hands-on Learning Lab 
  • 8 plenary sessions, 40 individual oral presentations, 8 posters, 2 workshops

Message from Paul Wray, Outreach & Training Committee Chair:  A major objective of WVAGP is to make training affordable for its members; and so this past year, as Chair of the Training Committee, I and others have worked earnestly to organize professional development and training opportunities for the WV GIS Community.
