altar flowers  Dedication of flowers

All Saints Sunday is Nov. 4, and everyone has the opportunity to remember or honor someone with the gift of flowers. The cost is $25 per dedication.

If you are making a dedication, the office needs the following information:  (1) Who the dedication is for; (2) whether it is made in honor or in memory; and (3) who the dedication is from.

Dedications need to be given no later than next Thursday.

flower guild luncheon
Flower Guild luncheon
The Flower Guild had a luncheon on Sunday, Oct. 14. It was an opportunity to say "Thank You" for all those involved in helping make our worship more special each week with flowers on the altar. Everyone had a good time. We now have 16 parishioners working on Flower Guild, up from only two a year ago!

Zion organWork day Saturday at  Zion Church

A work day for historic Zion Church, Talbotton, is Saturday. The activity begins at 9 a.m. Everyone in the Diocese of Atlanta is invited to join the participants. The interior needs to be cleaned and lots of work done to the rotting exterior. People with carpentry experience are especially needed to help remove the boards in the front gable, replace them with new pressure- treated lumber and then paint them. For those who want to clean the interior, please bring a vacuum with a hepa filter. Lunch and dust masks will be provided. Workers are asked to bring a box of nonperishable food items to help set up a food pantry for Talbot County; the town of Talbotton has lost its only food market. For more information, contact David Johnson, a member of St. Nicholas', Hamilton, at djohn57@bellsouth.net

 Men's quartet
singing Sunday
We are delighted to welcome a men's quartet to our services this Sunday. These young men were friends and singers at Columbus High School and are now scattered
across the southeast in music schools. Our Choral Scholar, Berell Slaughter, has arranged this. They will sing four pieces from Viadana and Arcadelt to Moses
Hogan and Aaron Copland.

October: St. Thomas' month for WNN
October is the designated month for St. Thomas to donate food to the Wynnton Neighborhood Network. WNN is a multi-religious ministry that operates the food bank and outreach center for those in need in the Wynnton area of Columbus. Each month, local congregations take turns supporting WNN with their donations.
