Help Wanted! LJES 'eBlaster' Needed for Next School Year
No Experience Necessary!
Do you want to help LJES, but prefer a behind-the-scenes job you can do from home? Are you interested in learning about what is happening in our school community? Are you a tiny bit creative? Then you might enjoy being our next 'LJES eBlaster' (official title is the PTO Board position of 'VP of Communications').
No experience is necessary and you don't need to be a 'techie' at all. It IS helpful if you are somewhat organized. All training will be provided.
If interested, of if you just want to learn more, please contact Barbara Hagey at barhagey@yahoo.com.

Parent Workshops at LJES 4/10 and 4/17 at 11:30am
We are again fortunate to have Dr. Susan Wais present two parent workshops, free of charge, and open to all LJES parents and guardians.
Wednesday 4/10: Others Matter - One of the most important ingredients for a happy life is our relationship with others. Research tells us how we respond to another person's good fortune is a better predictor of a successful relationship than how we respond when things go badly. Learn a simple technique that will allow you to respond to other's good news in a way that will build your relationship.
Wednesday 4/17: Grit - Research shows that perseverance is as important to success as intelligence. Learn about grit and how to help your children become grittier.
