Help Us Gain More Local Control Over La Jolla Public Schools!
Principal's Chat TODAY at 11:30am, Library

One of the MOST IMPORTANT things you can do to help our school will take you less than an hour* total. We are asking all parents to take a survey, after they become informed about the La Jolla Cluster Partnership Agreement. If you were not able to attend our Town Hall meeting last week, you can learn about the Agreement by attending TODAY'S Principals Chat OR by clicking here to hear a 21-minute Powerpoint presentation.

Once you've learned about the positive impact the Agreement can have on our schools, please click the link below to take a survey:

We must show community interest
to move this agreement forward!

*Two actions are required:
1) 'Becoming informed' will take about 21-45 minutes (depending on whether you watch the Powerpoint presentation on our website, or attend the Principal's Chat. You can also view the full Town Hall presentation on our website, which runs just under an hour).
2) The survey will take you another 10-15 minutes.

This is time WELL SPENT for the future of our
La Jolla public schools!

Parent Workshops at LJES
4/10 and 4/17 at 11:30am

We are again fortunate to have Dr. Susan Wais present two parent workshops, free of charge, and open to all LJES parents and guardians.

Wednesday 4/10: Others Matter - One of the most important ingredients for a happy life is our relationship with others.  Research tells us how we respond to another person's good fortune is a better predictor of a successful relationship than how we respond when things go badly. Learn a simple technique that will allow you to respond to other's good news in a way that will build your relationship.

Wednesday 4/17: Grit -  Research shows that perseverance  is as important to success as intelligence. Learn about grit and how to help your children become grittier.
