 Talent Show Auditions Begin Today
Note: All of our audition slots are filled, but we will do our best to work you in between the designated appointments on a first-come, first served basis. Please be patient and understanding -- we are doing the best we can to juggle everyone's needs.
Please note these important dates: - Wed. January 16, 2:15pm: Audition day 1
- Wed. January 23, 2:15pm: Audition day 2
- Wed. February 13, 2:15m: Stage practice (optional)
- Wed. February 20, 2:15pm: Dress rehearsal (mandatory)
- Fri. February 22, 5:30pm: The BIG NIGHT!

Would you like to perform the 5th grade song in the talent show? (You will still be able to do your own act in the show as well!)
If you would like to be a part of this act you MUST come to the auditorium to learn the song next Wednesday, January 23 from 4:30-5:00 pm. We will also meet for a rehearsal on Wednesday, February 13 from 4:30-5:00 pm. Please plan on waiting outside the auditorium with parental supervision until you are called in for the practice as talent show auditions will be taking place until 4:30.

Math Club Starting at LJES!
Is Your 3rd, 4th or 5th Grader Ready for a Real Math Challenge?
The LJES Khan Academy Math Club starts Wednesday, January 30th, at 8:00 am
in Room 14. Click here to find out more the club. Initial membership is limited to the first 30 students due to available iPads. The club is free, but members must abide by conditions specified in the permission slip. Completed permission slips must be returned to the office by Friday, January 25. Our 2nd Annual LJES Spell-a-thon is Right Around the Corner!
Last year, we raised over $17,000 during our Spell-a-thon-online with just 30% of our student body soliciting donations from relatives and friends. Imagine what we can raise with 100% participation!  Spell-a-thon-online is an easy and effective way to quickly raise much needed funds for our school.
Our kids will be learning while raising money, and parents will not be asked to reach into their own pockets! Aunts, uncles, grandparents and neighbors will love the chance to support your child's education and our school!
