August - the Height of Summer!

Take a cue from our new display - enjoy Summer!

Whether you head to the beach (and are lucky enough to spot a mermaid) or stay in town, you can update your look and your mood with sunny orange and watery turquoise!

Feeling reflective or project-oriented?

Summer is a great time to sit in the hammock or by the water and begin a journal or record your dreams - sleep-time or daydreams.

Or how about gathering those special photos and finally putting them into a book? The great disadvantage, as I see it, of digital cameras is that we no longer print our photos! So pick out a few to print and make a physical memory - not just a digital one!

What says Summer like saltwater taffy? Ours is from Spokandy in - you guessed it! - Spokane! Our jar is in front of our map showing where our artists live. Come in and take a look! A lot are local, Washington and Oregon, but we have artists from all over the country, and a few from beyond. It would be so cool to have at least one artist from every state - we're pretty close, but there are a few states not represented!

~~~
  Summer also brings out of town guests! How fun to show them our lovely city and favorite places. We feel honored that so many of you bring your visitors in to see us and to shop for special gifts and souvenirs to take home. And on the flip side, we sell a lot of things to be taken to far off places by our local customers. If it's important to you to find something made in Seattle, or the Northwest, let us know - we can direct you to the perfect choice. And we've expanded our Seattle selection - items depicting Seattle, favorite landmarks, our neighborhoods - in addition to so many items made right here!
