SMALL ACTS OF KINDNESS CAMPAIGN | | |
Being kind and helpful to other people also rewards our own sense of worth. One way to show that you love your community YMCA is to volunteer 15-30 minutes of your day.
Make a pledge to get involved today! Some of the acts of kindness you can perform at the Y include:
- Help maintain Margo's Garden
- Get a workout by sweeping the gym floor
- Be a coffee barista and man the coffee station
- Scan member cards
- Be a group exercise class greeter
Make the pledge to give back by volunteering for at least 15 minutes at your Y. Click here to contact Connie Chapman for more information. |
| LET'S MOVE TOGETHER! | | |
Running Club - Did you know we are starting a running club for beginners? Janet will lead you from the Y throughout the town and neighboring Windsor Castle trails. The Running Club program runs Wednesdays at 5:30 P.M. and Saturdays at 8:00 A.M. starting October 9th-November 30th.
Tabata is now on the Group Exercise schedule on Mondays at 9:30 A.M. What in the world is Tabata you ask? It is a routine that uses intense exercise for 20-30 seconds followed by a 10-second rest, repeated 8 times without a pause. Come learn Tabata with Autumn!
Back to School - Back in the Pool at the Y! Classes are designed to assist children in water safety, personal growth, stroke development, water sports and games, and rescue skills. Registration for the next session starts October 12, and classes start October 28.
Cheerleading - Does your child eat, sleep and breathe cheerleading? Our cheerleading classes offer a fun, yet structured way to learn the basic fundamentals. These instructional classes work on the basic motions, jumps, tumbling, and logistics of cheerleading. Participants work together to build up strength, endurance, and flexibility. Sign up now and join us on Monday nights at 6:30 P.M. |
