Every day the Y changes lives and brings communities contest together.  Do you have a Y success story?  How has the Y helped you change your life?  How has the Y changed your child's life?  How has the Y made a difference in your community?

Share your story with us for a chance to win $50 toward the program of your choice.  Enter our "My Y Story" contest by September 25, 2013 on Facebook by going to your Y's Facebook page or click here to go directly the the contest.

LIVE WITH CHARACTER AND GROW UP STRONG

  • Our Before and After School program is a great way to start and end the day. Programs are held at your child's elementary schools at Carrollton, Hardy, Westside and Windsor.  Click here to download a brochure.
  • The Teen Leaders' Club was established to give teens, age 13-17, an opportunity to provide volunteer service to the community while developing leadership skills, volunteer service, academics, good health, and living by the YMCA character development values.  Leaders' Club members provide 100 hours of volunteer service during the school year and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA.

Please click here to contact Brandon Fry, Youth and Family Program Director for more information about these exciting programs for your school-aged child or teen.

FUN FALL PROGRAMS

We have the fall programs your child wants:

  • YMCA Kids Club - Your preschool child will love Kids Club where they will be engaged in hands-on activities that includes music, dancing, and arts & crafts.
  • Cheerleading - Our cheerleading classes offer a fun, yet structured way to learn the basic fundamentals of cheerleading.  Come see them perform at the Isle of Wight County Fair.
  • Field Hockey - We emphasize good sportsmanship and character development while your child learns new pass patterns, rushing, blocking, and defense.
  • Swim Lessons - We have classes for everyone, infants to adults.
  • Swim Team - Is your child ready for competitive swimming?  The Peninsula Metropolitan YMCA intra-branch swim league is a program designed to foster competitive swimming skills in an environment that promotes the values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.

Are you ready to get started?  Click here to register.  Please call the Welcome Center at 365-4060 or email Brandon Fry for more information about these fun fall programs!
