NEWS ANNOUNCEMENT: PALCUS Launches Portuguese-American Gateway

PALCUS Launches Portuguese-American Gateway

For many years, there has been a need for an online database of Portuguese-American organizations, businesses and professionals. To fill this need, PALCUS is proud to announce the Portuguese-American Gateway. The Gateway is a collaborative effort between PALCUS and Mr. Carlos Caldas of ITB, Inc.

Now, anyone can search for restaurants, auto body shops, wineries, churches, dance groups and many, many other kinds of businesses and organizations anywhere in the United States. In addition, anyone can list their business or organization at no cost on the Gateway site. To list your organization or business on the Gateway, follow these simple steps:

  1. Search the Gateway to see if your organization or business is already listed.
  2. If it is, email palcus@palcus.org to be granted admin rights for that entry
  3. If it is not listed, click on "My Account" and register for free
  4. You should receive an email confirming your registration
  5. Once your registration is confirmed, go back to the Gateway site and click on "Your Submission"
  6. Fill out the form with your organization's information, and be sure to upload a logo!

We hope you will find the Portuguese-American Gateway useful and that it will encourage all of us to support and patronize fellow Portuguese businesses and organizations.

PALCUS Mission

In order to create a singular voice to advocate  for the Portuguese American and Luso-American communities at large, the Portuguese American Leadership Council of the United States Inc. (PALCUS) was founded in 1991  as a 501 3 non partisan, non profit, organization headquartered in Washington D.C.
The PALCUS mission is to address domestic and international concerns of the  Portuguese American Community.
The Council conducts an expanding program of educational and public affairs activities on issues of interest to the Portuguese American community and of salience to the Luso-American Relationship.
PALCUS is committed to serving the community through increasingly active government relations efforts, the promotion of a greater awareness of ethnic accomplishments and encouraging stronger ties between Portugal and the United States. In this role PALCUS advance the community professionally, politically and culturally while working to ensure that issues directly affecting our community are addressed through our network of government and community leaders.
