Alumni Sharing Knowledge, our free webinar series, is gearing up for another year and we're looking for alumni to share their expertise! Our themes for the upcoming year include: health & wellness, professional self-discovery, and social justice/community organizing. If you have an idea of how you can contribute to one of these topics, or an entirely different topic, we'd love to hear about it! November 17-21, the Naropa community will embark on a week of celebrating and honoring the unique contributions we all offer to Naropa. We invite you to watch a brief video and take some time to contemplate gratitude. Marissa Perel, BA '08, had a show at the Chocolate Factory Theater in Long Island City, NY. Part of the Queer New York International Arts Festival, " More than Just a Piece of Sky" examines queer identity in a meditatively paced, hourlong work. Chris Cole, BA '10, has authored a memoir of his journey through mental illness and recovery, leaning into the delusion that he was the second coming of Christ. Exploring eating disorders, addiction, and bipolar disorder, Chris offers an inspirational and refreshing take on his path into and out of pathology. The Body of Chris is being published with Inkshares, a revolutionary crowd-funded publishing house, and is currently available for pre-order.

Naropa University is seeking comments from the public about the University in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. The University will host a visit March 9 - 11, 2015, with a team representing the Higher Learning Commission. Naropa University has been accredited by the Commission since 1986. The team will review the institution's ongoing ability to meet the Commission's Criteria for Accreditation.
